I find when I’m playing I’m always one string short and was wondering if I could add a low B string on my harp.
I can sympathize with wanting more strings, but I don’t think it’s likely that you could add another string below the C string without causing problems. There would be a number of things to take into account before trying something like that, but one of the biggest issues I see is that there just isn’t room on the neck for another tuning pin without getting too close to the edge of the wood. Also, I don’t think there’s room between the C string and pillar for another string without it hitting something and causing a buzz when you play.
I was afraid of that. Just thought I’d ask though. Thank you!
